Drinks on the balcony at The Curious Fox set the tone for a wonderful afternoon on Friday 22nd May celebrating APS at 25. Directors Gary & Chris shared reflections on how APS began 25 years ago — the milestones, the successes, the challenges, the growth, and the hurdles overcome along the way.
Most importantly, the event recognised the people who make APS what it is today. A heartfelt thank you goes to every single employee, in every role, who plays a part in the success story of APS. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment are truly appreciated, even when it often goes unsaid.
The celebrations continued with service award presented by former MD Ivon O’Rorke, new APS coats for the team, a slideshow of photos over the years, an incredible BBQ, anniversary cake, and of course, a few more drinks to round off the occasion.
A lovely celebration of achievement, teamwork, and appreciation. Here’s to 25 years of APS and many more to come.
On Friday 1st May we began celebrations for our landmark anniversary year with a special dinner at the Titanic Hotel, Belfast. The event brought together the six original founders of APS that is Gary & Chris current directors and past directors Ivon, Alan, Ivan and Warnock along with four original members of staff who are still with the company today — Sheena (Sales Office) and George, Gary, and Alan (Warehouse & Transport). In those early days within one month of start up there were 15 members of staff in total. Today there are approaching 60.
On Friday 22nd May afternoon, there will be another Company Event for all employees to get together and celebrate our anniversary. More details will follow as the company will close early that day.

Martin has been a key asset to the APS team for the past 18 months, driving our growth and presence across the Republic of Ireland. With over a decade of experience in architectural aluminium glazing, Martin brings a specialized mastery of ironmongery to every project.
By merging his technical background with an intimate knowledge of APS systems, Martin provides specifiers with a truly comprehensive perspective, he doesn’t just offer products.

In November, APS proudly celebrated the men in our company as it is the month that traditionally focuses on men’s health. With more than three quarters of our workforce made up of men across Sales, Accounts, Design, Technical, Despatch, and Transport, it was a meaningful opportunity to recognise their contributions and well-being. We marked International Men’s Day on Wednesday, 19th, to show appreciation of the impact these men make in our company. To round off a month of fundraising led by a few of our male colleagues growing their moustaches, we hosted a lively coffee morning to support their efforts to raise donations for Brookfield School in our area that provides exceptional support for children with special needs.
In November 2025 some of our warehouse staff grew their moustaches to fund-raise cash for the amazing Brookfield Special Primary School, Moira. We dug deep everyone and the month ended with a great coffee morning. We expected classic handlebars and refined walrus styles among others but it didn’t exactly get to that stage. Over £500 was raised and matched by the company totalling £1000. Well done to the warehouse team – what a great initiative to organise.

APS are pleased to supply sustainable aluminium architectural glazing systems by our trusted fabricator partner to this first net zero supermarket in Ireland. In October we had a visit from APS sponsor recipient, Ethan Faulkner, who took some time off from his travels in the British Sprint Championship.
