Combilifts has officially opened its new global headquarters and manufacturing facility in Monaghan Ireland, coinciding with its 20th anniversary this year. The new building, which was designed by Milligan Reside Larkin Architects in Newry, cost €50 million and covers 500,000sq ft. It will allow Combilifts to realise its ambitious growth plans. The project is set on a 100 acre site and has 11 acres of roof space. It is one of the largest manufacturing operations under a single roof in Ireland. The roof is 23% skylights enabling staff to work in natural light and meet their staggering production target of a finished forklift every 15 minutes.
APS liaised with Milligan Reside Larkin Architects from the early design stage, ensuring structural mounts were integral to the design allowing the architects’ vision to be created. The project includes our APS Logic50 curtain walling system, AP100Therm+ polyamide insulated window system, ACD commercial doors with anti-finger trap to the entrance and glazed automatic opening roof vents to the roof screens. You would have to agree this project looks stunning with its sharp, crisp finish and it’s completed to a very high standard. The architects have succeeded in creating a dramatic impact on anyone visiting this company.
