Some of our team were privileged to attend the fantastic #UberheroesNI charity event recently. The Small Acts of Kindness – Junior Award sponsored by APS was won by amazing Alfie. Despite coping with muscular dystrophy, the videos he shares charting progress of his treatment in USA have brought awareness and made it possible for 5 other children from NI to receive the same treatment. Just one of many stories of kindness by inspirational NI school children. Congratulations to Alfie and all the winners in every category and a massive thank you to the organisers Hope 4 Life NI.

We were amazed at the interest generated by our stand at the recent Love Your Home Show where we solely promoted one relatively new product on our shelf – the interlocking 500mm x 500mmm pvc tiles.  Jonny, Chris and Grahame attended and enjoyed meeting the visitors and the fellow exhibitors.  Whether to cover unsightly existing floors or as a new surface, these are simple to fit in both industrial & residential settings – workshops, garages, gyms to name a few. (photo attached)

 APS attended FENSTERBAU FRONTALE  in Nuremberg this week gaining insight into latest developments in all things window, door, facade, glass-related. It’s been a really successful trip by all accounts. In particular at the VEKA AG stand with VEKA UK whom we are valued partners of supplying their systems to fabricating companies in Ireland. Great experience by all accounts and very busy but still some time for sightseeing & socials

We would like to extend our sincerest congratulations to Judith on successfully completing the Professional Competence in Road Haulage course. Judith is an esteemed member of the sales office team and plays a crucial role in coordinating our company’s transport, specifically our delivery vehicles. Recently, she earned herself a Level 3 Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK. This certificate will be instrumental in APS’ operating licenses, and it will only enhance Judith’s knowledge of the transportation industry. It offers exceptional attention to detail with quality products used throughout.  Designed to be fabricated locally with one of the most recyclable materials on the planet.  Aluminium helps to give this system a positive environmental footprint.  The development and design of this system was part of APS winning a prestigious award and receiving support from UK Research and Innovation who identified this product as an exceptional proposal that offered an exciting alternative to this sector of the market.

A big thank you to all our loyal pvc window & door profile customers who remained loyal and supported us through the recent changeover to the VEKA system.  The need to change was as much of a surprise to us as everyone else and involved a mammoth task of re-stocking, learning a whole new system, setting up and re-training our fabricators while they remained busy and ensured orders would go out the door on time!  Now that all fabricators have switched over we feel that the transition has been relatively smooth due to the superb teamwork of all involved from VEKA staff, APS office & warehouse staff and not least our brilliant customers.
