Christmas spirit is definitely in the air at APS. Ho! Ho! Ho!

We’re delighted that Natasha’s baby girl Hayley Ivy arrived safely just over a month ago now and that everything is going well. This is such a wonderful milestone, and we couldn’t be happier for you. Already part of the APS family with her little APS bib. On behalf of the whole team, congratulations!

In November, APS proudly celebrated the men in our company as it is the month that traditionally focuses on men’s health. With more than three quarters of our workforce made up of men across Sales, Accounts, Design, Technical, Despatch, and Transport, it was a meaningful opportunity to recognise their contributions and well-being. We marked International Men’s Day on Wednesday, 19th, to show appreciation of the impact these men make in our company. To round off a month of fundraising led by a few of our male colleagues growing their moustaches, we hosted a lively coffee morning to support their efforts to raise donations for Brookfield School in our area that provides exceptional support for children with special needs.

In November 2025 some of our warehouse staff grew their moustaches to fund-raise cash for the amazing Brookfield Special Primary School, Moira. We dug deep everyone and the month ended with a great coffee morning.  We expected classic handlebars and refined walrus styles among others but it didn’t exactly get to that stage. Over £500 was raised and matched by the company totalling £1000. Well done to the warehouse team – what a great initiative to organise.

Congratulations to Ulti-Mate Roofing and Building Products on their 5 year anniversary as their growth in their your superior roofing component range continues to flourish.

Members of the team visited to offer more training to APS staff and we marked the occasion of your anniversary with some cup cakes.

It’s always great to see David hot desking in our sales office when he visits while bringing us plenty of treats. Here’s to the next 5 years guys and beyond.

The weather didn’t dampen the spirit at Belfast’s Memory Walk on 27th September in Ormeau Park in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. Team APS turned out reliable as ever. We had some craic on the 6k walk and a chance to chat about everything not work related for a change. A morning well spent as we remembered those who are living with the effects of Alzheimer’s and those we have known who are no longer with us. Many in APS have experience on a personal level. APS board matched the funds we raised and a cheque was presented to Alzheimer’s Society for £1200. Thanks to everyone who took part and donated.

In September, we were thrilled to attend an incredibly successful three days at the Glee Show! We were so excited to introduce APS’s new composite range to the UK market, and the response has been fantastic.

From a busy Monday spent setting up, the show ran from Tuesday to Thursday…….Lots of interesting business was discussed.  New products were launched to complement the composite range. Solar Lights for Fence- Decorative Trellis & Screens – Composite Deck Chairs – Composite plant pot caddies. Attendees could explore our full range of composite decking, fencing, and cladding.

A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand and joined in on some really promising conversations. We’re looking forward to building on these new relationships and working together on exciting projects ahead.

If you were attending the Irish Open at Royal County Down in Newcastle this September, we think you will have noticed the new roof of the house next to the Slieve Donard Hotel. We’re confident it would have grabbed the attention of even the most seasoned golf professionals. This stunning sight is thanks to the installation of our APS Classic Slates, which look fantastic alongside other APS products, including Dry Fixed Ridge Kits, Ridge Tiles, Fascia, and Rainwater Products.  Make sure to have a peek next time you are nearby.

We were amazed at the interest generated by our stand at the recent Love Your Home Show where we solely promoted one relatively new product on our shelf – the interlocking 500mm x 500mmm pvc tiles.  Jonny, Chris and Grahame attended and enjoyed meeting the visitors and the fellow exhibitors.  Whether to cover unsightly existing floors or as a new surface, these are simple to fit in both industrial & residential settings – workshops, garages, gyms to name a few. (photo attached)
